Florida Black Bear Scenic Byway is a 501c3 charitable organization with the mission to preserve and protect the natural, ecological, cultural, and historic resources of the Florida Black Bear Scenic Byway for its residents, wildlife, visitors, and future generations.

Florida Black Bear Scenic Byway is committed to:

• Advocating for the black bear and wildlife
• Preservation of historic & environmental resources
• Promoting recreational & cultural activities
• Interpretive tours & education
• Telling the story of the region through our website, kiosks, videos, & social media
• Representing the byway at regional events
• Beautifying the byway through roadside planting & maintenance
• Reviewing and Supporting transportation projects that promote safety for pedestrians and wildlife (crossings, sidewalks, trails, and signage)
• Providing a conduit for economic support to the byway community
