Birding

Birding is a popular activity along the rivers and spring runs found along the Florida Black Bear Scenic Byway. The largest known population of endemic Florida scrub-jays in Florida is found along the heart of the corridor in the Ocala National Forest.

Juvenile Florida scrub jay have entirely gray heads that turn blue when they reach approximately 6 months of age.
